Mini Cat Town

Since 2015, Mini Cat Town has rescued over 1500 cats and kittens. What started out as three sisters feeding stray cats, led to TNR (trap, neuter, release), followed by fostering, the formation of an independent rescue, and eventually a nonprofit rescue organization with over 300 volunteers, 50 foster homes, and 7 dedicated board members.

Mini Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that specializes in rescuing neonatal kittens. It was founded by three sisters; Thi, Thoa, and Tram Bui and located inside Eastridge Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. We are partnered with multiple shelters and rescues in California to be a safe landing spot for neonatal kittens. Once kittens are 8 weeks old and 2 pounds, they are spayed/neutered and placed onto our adoption floor to find their forever homes. 

Locations: Eastridge Shopping Center, Stanford Shopping Center, Great Mall, and more! There are different applications for each location so make sure to apply for the right one!

Commitment: 2-3 hours every other week. No more than 3 unexcused absences.

Application: After approval from first application, must submit transcript (2.5 GPA or more), signed faculty endorsement, and a personal statement. 

Responsibilities (training provided):

Take payments/waivers (front desk)

Interact with guest and kittens (adoption floor)

Cleaning (adoption floor and back kitten area)

Scooping litter boxes

Unpacking supply

Feeding and socializing with kittens
