The Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) provides Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View, and Santa Clara with the care of sick, injured, lost and abandoned companion animals, animal cruelty investigations, enforcement of animal laws, education and outreach programs, volunteer and foster programs, and so much more.
How to apply: When applications are out, sign up for an online orientation (may be limited). After online orientation, go to an in person orientation, and after you receive your volunteer t-shirt, you can start volunteering!
Commitment: 2 hours a week for 6 months
Tasks: Help socialize the various animals (cats and dogs and bunnies) to make them more likely to be adopted!
