* Requires 25+ hrs of Youth Volunteering with at least 5 of those hrs being mission-based visits (e.g. private visits, mobile barnyard visits, virtual visits, or vocational visits)
minimum of fifty (50) hours per academic year (Aug-Jul).
Monthly YA meetings occur on the second Sunday of each month, from 12-1 pm at the AAH Smile Farm, and additional time commitment is determined per committee activities.
Committees
AAH Client Outreach: engage with AAH's clients to learn about the challenges they face and the impact AAH has on them. This is great for aspiring social workers / teachers!
Animals: work with AAH's farm staff to develop our animals into even better Barnyard Buddies. This is especially great for aspiring veterinarians!
Farm and Garden: help design the AAH Smile Farm into an attractive, welcoming space for visitors, volunteers, and animals alike. Great for future architects, designers, and engineers!
Fundraising: plan and carry out YA-hosted fundraising events/activities for the YAs with AAH's development staff.
Great for future event planners and community leaders!
Social Media: spread awareness of AAH through various media outlets, including Instagram, TikTok, Patreon and Youtube! Great for social media enthusiasts!
Volunteer Training: develop resources and hands-on workshops to improve the experience and impact of AAH's volunteers. Great for future teachers, consultants, and leaders of all kinds!
